» View our range of Bathroom Taps There is an electic bathroom tap range available to suit every type of bathroom, whether it is ultramodern minimalist or traditional bathroom, a large or small bathroom or whether it is taps for a sink, a bath or even a bidet. An old bathroom can be transformed simply by adding new bathroom taps to the existing suite. This can provide a complete new look, just for the price of a new set of taps. Antique gold bathroom taps could be added to enhance the traditional look, or a brushed stainless steel monobloc bathroom tap could be added to replace a bridge mount to make both sink and bathroom look minimalist. There are four basic types of bathroom taps: Bath taps If you are replacing your bathroom bath taps with new models, the chances are that you will have to replace both the hot and cold taps, either with a new design or a bath shower mixer. Many modern baths come with a single hole drilled allowing you to install a bath mixer tap. Some baths even come without any holes drilled at all, leaving you the freedom to choose. Basin taps Unless you are trying to recreate a period look or you don’t want to replace your basin, a bathroom mixer tap has to be the favoured choice. Not only do they create a design statement, they are also incredibly practical. No longer will you have to scoop your hands quickly under the hot and cold taps to create warm water! A mixer tap will do this for you effortlessly, often with a single lever control. Bidet taps There are two essential types of bathroom bidet mixer tap, the monobloc basin mixer and the three hole bidet mixer, both of which usually have pop up wastes. The monobloc basin mixer provides a multi-directional swivel nozzle, which is hand operated. However the three-hole bidet mixer combines a spray douche with a rim rinse, switching between functions by means of a diverter. Bath shower mixers Bathroom Bath shower mixer taps are taps that not only control the temperature and flow of the bath water, but with the flick of a lever they control the water flow for the shower too. This is the easiest way to plumb in a shower as it makes use of the existing water supply and of course drainage. Tip: With the wide variety of bathroom taps available it is important to consider the options available before purchase. The handles or grip must be looked at and considered in a wet situation too. As the elderly and children have weaker grips, it is important to have a bathroom tap which is easy to turn even when wet. Considering which bathrooms taps to buy can be mind boggling, especially if trying to co-ordinate the four different types into one bathroom. Even though it is crucial to consider the different types and designs available, it is important to go with your instinct, to a tap range you are drawn to. Which ever bathroom tap style and design is opted for Plumbcall Direct has a great range to suit every desire and budget. » View our range of Bathroom Taps |
